8/7/2023 0 Comments Cool alarm clocks for guysTherefore, I can choose between seven delightful sounds or use an FM radio station as my alarm setting. I didn’t even mention its embedded FM radio or seven alarm sounds. Meanwhile, I can choose between seven colors for the nightlight to emit. It offers 16 adjustable volume levels for the alarm while having 20 brightness levels for its night lighting. Users have a large amount of adjustability with this option, as well. This alarm keeps me in check, though, as I can only hit it five times maximum. I’m not going to lie about how much I abuse the snooze button during those early mornings. I also can’t say enough about this product’s 9-minute snooze function. It’s a much more peaceful waking experience than a typical alarm clock. I can use this aspect to wake up with a gradually brightening light and seven natural sounds. One of the main standout traits would be its sunrise simulation light feature. It has everything a teenager could want in one of these devices, which most alarm clocks for kids or teens can’t say. As a result, it’s ready for whatever situation presents itself, whether it’s a blackout or a typical power outage.Īlarm clocks for high school students cannot get much better than this JALL’s Sunrise Model. If these aspects weren’t enough, it comes with a battery backup and built-in flashing red alert lights. Switching between the 12-hour and 24-hour formats also couldn’t be easier. It allows me to customize the alarm based on my preferences, using a 12-hour format. It’s another way to heighten the product’s overall user-friendliness and ensure it’s ideal for couples.īuyers shouldn’t overlook its choice of two-time formats, either. Due to this, I can set two alarms at once rather than relying on a single one. I was also impressed with this model’s dual alarm capabilities. If I put this under my pillow, I have no choice but to get out of bed when it activates. It even comes with a bit of extra incentive to ensure I wake up with its 12-volt bed shaker. I’d imagine it shouldn’t have any issues working as an alarm clock for teenager boy or girl. Of course, it all starts with the loud 113dB siren with no problem waking up, even a deep sleeper staying late at night studying. Sonic Alert’s Bomb Alarm Clock turns me into a fan with its impressive features. List of 10 Top-rated Alarm Clock for Teenager Reviews 1. Based on the award-winning previous generation Discovery Sport, this new Land Rover has been subtly refined, including everything from the powertrain to the sporty exterior. On-road, the Discovery Sport is smooth and quick, especially with the P290 powertrain, and off-road, it’ll dominate almost anything you put in its path.Arriving this Summer, the new 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV will feature a redesigned exterior, a more powerful engine, as well as a newly-refined interior. These elements result in a comfortable, capable and exceptionally stylish and sophisticated SUV. Its infotainment system is also pleasantly usable and efficiently organized-something that Land Rover excels at these days. There’s a wireless charging setup for properly equipped smartphones that works nicely, and plenty of USB ports distributed throughout. Other enhancements include an optional third row and plenty of connectivity options. It’s a well-executed design that’s unmistakably Land Rover and yet very distinct from others in the sizeable lineup of SUVs-an achievement in and of itself. Land Roverįrom the outside, the Sport is very much a looker, with nicely tuned grille, bumper, headlamps, and, in the R-Dynamic version, body-matching trim for a more unified look. The updated infotainment display, digital gauges and multifunction controllers add a healthy dose of modernity and usability. The latter gives it a “mild-hybrid” capability that mostly manifests itself as torquey power boosts and the ability to crawl around at low speeds just on battery power alone. The powertrain options are nearly as convoluted as the naming scheme, though, including a P250 option with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and the P290, which is a mild-hybrid that uses a 48-volt power supply. On typical jaunts, the Discovery Sport remains a valuable ally, boasting Land Rover ride quality, interior comfort and performance. Like when an unexpected snowstorm suddenly changes the terrain, turning an otherwise benign trail or road into a slip-n-slide. For the rare instances it’s needed, it provides a comforting safety net. Land Roverīut few will exploit even a portion of the off-road ability that the Disco Sport affords. Space in the second row is generous, but the optional third row is best reserved for children or pets. The power-management and the technology help ensure the vehicle goes farther, higher and steeper than is expected. The problem with this level of capability is that it often goes unused because user are uninformed or unaware of the vehicle’s true limits. Terrain Response can also help the Disco wade through up to 24 inches of water-again, not something most will do, but an impressive capability nonetheless. It’s a game-changing tech that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves and will allow users to do things they didn’t think they could. It’s possible to angle the SUV in pretty much any direction and still get through the obstacle cleanly.Ī new low-mounted camera system, the ClearSight Ground View, displays a shot of the terrain directly ahead of and below the vehicle via the 8-inch monitor, appearing as if the engine and hood aren’t attached to the SUV. The user dials in the speed and the SUV automatically determines where and how to distribute power and how to manage different terrain challenges, whether it’s rocky, slippery or steep. The Discovery Sport includes Land Rover‘s new Terrain Response system for navigating hill descents of significant steepness and terrain navigation, which acts as a cruise-control of sorts for off-roading. True to the brand’s heritage, the 2020 Discovery Sport’s off-road abilities are formidable and will likely be explored by but a handful of owners. The Discovery Sport is cheaper and more tossable than the bigger SUV, and its new raft of features make it a startlingly good option. The Sport designation also signals a major perk: downscaling. It’s name holds a certain logic, however, as the Sport is meant to be a more agile and activity-oriented version of its larger and more capable fraternal twin. The Land Rover Discovery Sport, contrary to its slightly misleading name, is a smaller and less-powerful version of the automaker’s Discovery. 8/7/2023 0 Comments Smoked bluefish dipThis recipe was inspired by the food culture of Key West and it’s a winner in my book. There’s the option to throw them, but like in any other PSVR game, throwing is bollocks. The coolest part about this, for me at least, is holstering the mini-swords on your back, then when you’re in a tight spot with little ammo, you can simply reach over your shoulder, grab your zombie slicers and go nuts. You’ve got a torch, a pair of pistols, and you can even collect machetes. Much like the non-VR Killing Floor games, you’ve got tools at your disposal. The disgusting visuals and equally grotesque sound effects make every head-pop a pleasure. Enemies aren’t all that difficult to kill, save for the bosses, but it’s super satisfying to teleport in front of a Zed, hold up your pistol sideways like a proper gangsta, and then pop one in the undead’s skull. Gunplay is satisfying, albeit a little simple. Granted, it does take a bit of getting used to teleporting (yes, no free-movement here in the zombie simulation!) but once you’ve gotten the hang of it, everything else will follow. It helps immensely that the controls have been nailed down perfectly. Maybe you’ll do a mini-puzzle of sorts, maybe you’ll need to collect something, but you’ll always have zombies to kill. Gameplay itself is as simple as go from one point to another, kill some zombies along the way, keep moving, kill more zombies. It’s a little longer than it needs to be, but you’ll be much better equipped for fighting the undead when you know how to change weapons, move, etc, etc. My advice is to got through the tutorial. I initially did skip it and then instantly regretted it as I had no idea how what I was doing when the Zeds came to eat me. By that I mean not skipping the tutorial section. Killing Floor Incursion is a bit of a slow burn if you go the proper route. You’re never bogged down with overstretched cut scenes and the story is more or less fed to you while you play through the campaign. This is true for Killing Floor Incursion, too, so the disjointed and – let’s be honest – crap storytelling gets a pass. Yet I’ve found myself not really caring that much when it comes to PSVR games I just want to be let loose in whatever world I’m occupying and do my own thing. Normally I’m chomping at the bit when it comes to stories in games. Heck, it might actually be a full-on sequel, but the story wasn’t that great so I wouldn’t have noticed. There’s a bit of a disconnect between Incursion and the previous games, so think of it more as a standalone release rather than a continuing extension of the originals. Killing Floor Incursion is the third entry in the Killing Floor series, and the first to be released on virtual reality headsets. This is a game that lives and dies by the PS Move wands and their implementation. The PSVR Aim controller is not compatible with Killing Floor Incursion, and your DualShock 4 will be no use to you either. You’ll also need a couple of PS Move wand controllers. Given that Killing Floor Incursion is a PSVR game, you’re going to need a PSVR headset. But you’ll have a ruddy good time nonetheless. But is it any good? Does this horror-shooter pack a punch? Will you be left weeping in the corner of the room? No, not really. These days there’s no shortage of digital shooting galleries and Killing Floor Incursion is the latest to join the PSVR’s library. His Taj Mahal casino was sold for pennies on the dollar in 2017 and later rebranded as the Hard Rock Casino, while the former Trump Marina now operates as the Golden Nugget. The implosion marks the unofficial end of Trump’s presence in Atlantic City. Trump Plaza’s smaller tower, which fronts the Atlantic Ocean and includes a Rainforest Café plus a parking deck, will remain standing under the plans. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City also donated $10,000 to the effort.Ī plan to auction off the right to push the button commencing the Plaza’s implosion was scrapped earlier this year over safety concerns, but Carl Icahn agreed to donate $175,000 to the Boys & Girls Club to match the highest bid that was received for the honor.Ītlantic City Mayor Marty Small says that about eight stories worth of debris will need to be cleaned up following the implosion, work that is expected to run through at least May of this year. Per the Press of Atlantic City, an auction held at the Playground Pier earlier this month that saw nearby hotels offer VIP packages netted more than $6,000 for the local Boys & Girls Club chapter. and a public viewing area for the implosion will be set up at Bader Field (parking is $10).Ītlantic City’s Facebook page will be streaming the event, which has helped generate some goodwill towards the community. The Trump Plaza implosion will see roadway and sidewalk closures within several blocks of the former hotel beginning at 6:00 a.m., which will include the Boardwalk and beach areas between Georgia and Arkansas avenues. The 39-story tower has since had its windows, exterior, and other elements removed and a formal implosion schedule was set last summer. The structure has deteriorated significantly since the lights went out it was declared a “public safety hazard” in early 2020 when chunks of the building’s concrete and stucco façade started falling onto nearby streets. The property has since been purchased by Carl Ichan and demolition of the building has been discussed since at least 2017. Issues at the casino mostly related to its debt forced the building to close in 2014 after Trump Entertainment Resorts filed for its fifth bankruptcy. The casino was opened along the Boardwalk in 1984 by former President Donald Trump and hosted a slew of high-profile boxing matches and events back in its heyday. The simplehuman Stainless Steel Trash Can, 13.2-Gallon is made out of brushed stainless steel so it has a sleek and elegant look that will match stainless steel kitchen appliances. This will not only affect the durability of the wastebasket, but also affect the design and colors. When buying a kitchen trash bin, take a look at the material it’s made from.If you need to purchase special bags for your trash can, that will need to be factored into the cost. Some trash bins are large and require custom-sized kitchen trash bags, while others can use simple grocery bags instead. If your trashcan will be hidden in a corner or behind a door, then a simple plastic receptacle may do the trick.Īlso consider the size of trash bag you will need to put into the can. If you have stainless steel and black appliances, for example, you may want a trashcan that matches that sleek look. For many shoppers, it’s important for everything in the kitchen to match the décor. The material the trash can is made out of impacts the overall look and feel of the wastebasket. However, if your kitchen trash can will be out in the open, it’s best to get one with a lid to contain the smell and keep things looking neat and tidy. If you’ll be placing your kitchen trash can in a cupboard, like under the sink, for example, you may opt for one without a lid. Next, consider the kind of lid your trash can will need, and how it will be opened. A round trash can is best for kitchens that have a lot of floor space. If your trash can will be up against a wall or cupboard, you’ll want one that has a flat side to save on space. This will affect what kind of shape you get. When searching for the best trash can for your kitchen, think about where it will be placed. Whether you run a professional kitchen or are a home cook, having a trash can that keeps garbage and their associated smells out of sight is key. There is nothing worse than a poorly designed kitchen trash bin that lets out odors and is a mess to look at. The TWI's become more obvious when the tread wears down. These are recessed rubber bars that run throughout the length of the tire. The tread wear indicators (TWIs) are incorporated into the circumferential grooves of the g-Force COMP-2. The g-Control sidewall inserts, in the end, are responsible for ride quality. The company used its Performance Racing Core construction with the Equal Tension Containment System (ETEC System) for more responsive handling. This type of design frequently improves wet traction without compromising dry stability, and the squared-off shoulders and wraparound tread blocks give consistent block rigidity for increased grip and stability. The tread pattern is directed and V-shaped with slanted lateral and longitudinal grooves. The company also boasts about the tread life and control in all seasons.īFGoodrich used its UltiGrip Technology to achieve the aforementioned traits, which includes a high-silica tread composition that remains flexible in cold weather while still providing outstanding traction in warmer months. The g-Force COMP-2 A/S tire has the finest wet and dry grip among its competitors. Plus, since this is an all-season tire, drivers expect snow and ice traction as well. Because the majority of these tires will be installed on executive and high-performing sedans, therefore, a greater degree of sophistication will be expected.įurthermore, all-season tires are durable and can last up to 4 years in normal driving conditions - an important feature for customers. The greatest all-season UHP tires offer a thrilling driving experience and a smooth and quiet ride. The g-Force COMP-2 must perform well in a range of settings and tests in order to compete advantageously. Since then, high-silica compositions and distribution strategies have improved the performance of all-season tires in every condition. Silica additives in tire design did not exist 10 to 15 years ago, and carbon black materials were the only option in dry conditions. The all-season tire industry is still impacted by this, although the margin is now shrinking. In comparison to the earlier Super Sport A/S, BFG has developed a new high silica cold weather all-season tread compound that provides better traction, shorter braking, and faster acceleration.Īll-season tires weren't much of a topic of discussion back in the day unless it came from a salesman's perspective. Comp-2 A/S tires are designed to fit a variety of sports cars, high-performance sedans, and muscle cars. The new BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S has proven to be a reliable performer over time. Tire was not tested in winter / snow / ice conditions but according to consumer reviews it seems to be very good or average for an all season tire. Overall Thoughts When tested for hydroplaning over a very large shallow puddle, such as you might encounter on the highway, the water was displaced through the channels and the tire did not quiver. On the wet track the tires provided excellent traction in all the same situations as the dry track including cornering and braking. Toggled back and forth around turns the tires provided great steering response and stability. When taken out on the track for a test run the tires provided very good dry traction when accelerating, cornering, and braking. The G Force Super Sport A/S has a few additional BFGoodrich features including rim protection which is designed to protect your rims from curb damage, V-Shift noise reduction for a nice quiet ride, and the PRETEC System for improved cornering and stability. This is a directional tire with BFGoodrich Aqua Chute technology built in to provide better traction in wet conditions and sipes (the smallest grooves) for traction in snow and ice. (You can see the tread in detail by clicking on the tire to the left). This tire is designed primarily for performance / sports cars because of the sizes available and style of the tread design. |
